JYDSK BARBERBLADE-FABRIK A/S

The company Jydsk Barberblade-Fabrik A/S (JBF) was established around 1930 in the small Danish town called Løgstør. In 1935 the production facility moved to Aalborg. During JBF’s first 35 years on the market, just one product was offered: traditional old-fashioned razor blades.

Towards the middle of the 1960ties, JBF started manufacturing sharp blades for a variety of industrial purposes, and the first scraper was launched around 1970. In 1971 the 1650 square meter big industrial building was built at Mineralvej 19, and this building has been JBF’s domicile since.

In 1984 Mr. Henning Iversen took over the company.
He was managing director of JBF for 21 years. In 2004 the agreement with two of the leading employees at JBF, Mr. Morten Thomsen and Ms. Margit Sigaard became a reality: The next generation was ready to take over.

They had both worked for JBF for many years. Today they take care of the daily management of the company. Even though Mr. Henning Iversen is not present each day, he is still connected to JBF.

Today JBF is still a production company. Our main products are scrapers and scraper replacement blades for the professional market.

Besides that, JBF produces a wide range of industrial blades for different purposes. JBF’s products are sold through a network of distributors. We export our products all over the world.

Our scrapers are known under the trademarks TRIUMPH, CHAMPION, HANDY, SNAPPY and CLICK. The production of razor blades stopped around 1985.
