A sharp look at successful history
JBF, Jysk Barberblade-Fabrik A/S, develops, manufactures and markets scrapers and blade scrapers.
The target group is the professional market, focusing on the cleaning, window cleaning, painting & decorating and aquatics segments. In addition, JBF produces and supplies a broad range of industrial blades for a variety of precision purposes and industries, including medical, printing, foods graphics, etc.
The blades are exported all over the world and sold through a network of distributors. The factory was originally founded in 1930 in Løgstør, Denmark. After a few years, however, production was moved to Aalborg, where the production and marketing of traditional razor blades exclusively took place until 1970. This production stopped in 1985, after which the factory switched over to producing scrapers and blades for industrial purposes only.
The first professional scrapers saw the light of day around 1970, when the company, due to a lack of space, moved to newer and larger premises at Mineralvej 19 in Aalborg, where it still operates. In 200? ownership of the factory changed to Morten Thomsen and Margit Sigaard. Both former employees, they have lengthy experience in handling the company's many challenges and managing its daily operations. Morten handles logistics and Margit sales and administration. In addition, the company employs a staff of 11 divided into production, warehousing, sales, marketing and administration.
